TF is changing servers soon (apparently there’s something wrong with the current one?), so my site will be pretty stale. I think the current server officially goes down this Wednesday, so it actually shouldn’t be too long… I just don’t want to update much and then lose it in the server switch if I forget to grab the most up-to-date database(s)… The new server is up, but it’s kinda behind the times… (the newest post on my site on that server is the Fahrenheit post) I would suggest ceasing forum activities, but that’d be down right stupid, especially with the upcoming LAN Party. I’ve already got two database backups, one for my site and the other for the forums, both from the 3rd at 9PM. So at least there’s something to fall back on. I’m gonna grab all the databases right now, stick a copy of each on both my thumbdrive and my partition of stuff. Hopefully this switch goes smoothly. There may be an issue with the DNS servers again, but a simple addition to your hosts file will clear that up. I won’t give out the “fix” just yet, as I’m sure one of you will add it and thusly be pointed to the new server, missing out on any happenings here on the old server. Plus, any changes made over there (comments, forum entries) will be wiped out when I put up the databases.
Sorry if it none of that… sounds right, or flows, or whatever. It seemed weird typing it all up and I felt like there was no way to express my ideas as accurately as possible, or something. I dunno. It’s weird.
