Poems for Grandma?

Posted on March 28, 2006

While these poems may seem quite.. morbid... I think they do apply to Grandma's.. state...  I dunno..

There's a very special garden
Where the trees of memory grow
Nurtured by the kindness
And concern that good friends show.
The roots are cherished memories
Of good times in the past
The branches tender promises
That souls endure and last.
It's a place of peace and beauty
Where bright new hopes can start
It's memory's lovely garden
That soothes the hurting heart.

One gift, above all others
God gives to us to treasure
One that knows no time, no place
And one gold cannot measure

The precious, poignant tender gift
Of Memory......that will keep
On dear ones ever in our hearts
Although God gives them sleep

It brings back long remembered things
A song, a word, a smile
And the world's a better place ... because
We had them for awhile!

It's just so hard to think of something when..  I really don't know her all too well..  Personally, I like the top one, a lot...

  1. I will use whatever you want.  Just let me know.  Would this be a group message?  Or just from you?  I think you’ve made this too hard.  You could’ve just said, Happy Birthday, I hope your birthday is wonderful, whatever.  If this is just from you, do you know if your brothers are doing anything?
