Don’t Screw Up
Jason asked me if I would like to reserve a seat at a table at Prom with him so that he doesn't have to "sit with a bunch of douchebags." I kindly informed him that I would most likely not be attending Prom due to two factors: One, I don't feel like spending a shitload of money. And two, I don't have a date and will most likely not get one in the near future.
You don't have to go with a date! Just go with a bunch of friends and have fun!
Yea, 'cause I really want to stand by and watch everyone out there with their dates dancing and having fun together.
Think again.
If I'm beating myself up over not having made a move sooner in regards to a specific girl, do you really think I want to watch all my friends and peers with their dates?
And I highly doubt anything will change in the interim. You know me, I know me; we both know it's true.
In an effort to step over all this emo shit, I'd like to bring up quite the positive.. event, if you will. A few of you may remember that I was absent from the LAN Party for a short time in order to attend an interview at the theatre for a possible promotion. While I don't think the interview went THAT great (it was awfully quick too), apparently I was one of the best of those interviewed, according to hearsay. I officially got the promotion on Sunday and words of a gratulatory nature echoed throughout the nights of Sunday and Monday. I expect a few more tonight as well. Just gotta wait for the new uniform to come in, then I no longer have to wear the same old red shirt and nasty navy pants that I've been wearing for nigh on two years. Blue shirt and khakis here I come!
With a few exceptions, I feel this post has a better writing style than that of my more recent reflections. Let's just hope I can keep it up.
