Is not what we have right now. Weather.com says that we’re at 69F with 75% humidity. Either give me about twenty percent less humidity with the same temp, or give me about eight degrees cooler with the same humidity. Actually, I’d prefer the latter. The humidity makes the air smell nice. Also, keep up the gusts. I think I might go wander around downtown sometime today, perhaps.

I need to work big time on my COM paper and presentation this weekend. I can start working on my precalc paper after COM on Monday. Precalc is due on Friday, though, so that should be fairly easy to pull off.

I upgraded WordPress again last night. It has neat features here or there. That’s not why I upgraded. I upgraded because I couldn’t use a certain admin theme with the old verison I was using. This new admin theme is great compared to the old one I was using, which was broken (but still tons better than the original WordPress admin theme) when I last upgraded. WordPress now has native support for Globally Recognized Avatars, which is neat. I’m having trouble getting them placed properly in the comments without breaking formatting. I think they’re semi-OK right now, but I’ll get them perfect when I start work on a new theme this summer. If I start on a new theme this summer. I really suck at design and aesthetics. I would like to be well rounded when it comes to HTML+CSS stuffs. I can generally do the code part fine, but the making it look good is where I need to advance. Take this theme, for example, it’s pretty simple and gets the job done, but it doesn’t particularly stand out and make you go “Wow, he knows what he’s doing.” And I don’t even mean over the top themes, just something simple that looks good. Kinda like good ol’ Oliver here.

Man this new admin theme is amazing, I wish you guys could see it. It’s similar to the old one I was using, but less OSX inspired and more streamlined. Plus it incorporates a lot of the layout changes made to the default admin theme which is fairly nice. No longer do I have to scroll down to hit the publish button, it’s on the right. Categories were moved to below the post entry, which kinda sucks because I’ve started using them again.

This definitely feels like one of those Saturdays where I’d be at Paul’s house (just about every other weekend, because on the other weekends he’d be over at my house) playing Uniracers on the SNES or Donkey Kong 64 on the N64 and his Dad would have all the doors and windows open and be cleaning up the house. They did this every (other?) Saturday or so. Sometimes he had us wash and wax his car, too. I never complained, it’s always fun to play with water on a warm day. Mind you, this would be during elementary and junior high school.

Man does the air smell good. There’s also supposed to be incoming thunder storms. We were supposed to get some last night too, but it was just a simple rain. And the night before was supposed to be pretty wet but all of the green and orange on the radar just went north of us, which reminds me of home where storms have literally split up before Shelby Township / Sterling Heights and then joined back up after they passed over us. There would be a little open pocket between all the green if you looked at the radar. It was so damn annoying.

I think I might skip work today and make up the hours next week (which will be no problem, I’ve gotten used to pulling six hours on Fridays) just so I can enjoy the day during the day. I’ll be on AIM for a bit if anyone wants to hit up the outdoors. Anyone, IN CHICAGO! Hahaha Michigan people (laughs)

And by “be on AIM for a bit,” I mean that I’ll be on for the next several hours playing PSO. Paul took my mag to raise it so that I could work on leveling the right character (the mag I’m working towards can only be evolved correctly on certain characters, plus Paul is on more than me anyway), which is at level 60 now! Just twenty more levels until Ultimate. Or I could go to the Chinese ship and play ultimate now, but that would just be a massacre. I fear that at level 80 (the normal level requirement for the Ultimate difficulty) it would still be the same. Too bad most of the good rares which would help me out are in… Ultimate and the later levels of Very Hard. Both of which are tough for me.

Maybe I’ll run some low levels through some quests or something, that was fun the last time I did that.

It’s been a while.

Where to start..? Um.. I beat Mario & Luigi (GBA) two nights ago. I had been stuck on the final boss for a few months now. I’ve had the game for over a year. It’s a good game, ’twas quite rewarding to have finally beat the game after all this time.

I set myself two goals before this Saturday. 1) Ding level 90 in PSO so I can access Ultimate. 2) Ding level 30 in FFXI so I can do the Dark Knight and Beastmaster quests (those ones specifically, but really I can unlock most any advance job now). I hit level 90 in PSO with ease. However, I’ve had a harder time hitting 30 in FFXI. I am currently level 29 with less than half of the needed exp to go. SO CLOSE! I eventually gave up though, as there was no chance I was going to get an invite from any party in the area. And now I’ll have to wait a whole week just to get roughly two-thousand experience points! Agh!!

I bought a copy of The Good Earth at Border’s so I can do the second part of my summer assignment for Honors. This part’s due on the fifth. I won’t be back until the sixth or the seventh. Whatever. Ms. Szmiegil can’t honestly expect people to be doing these assignments and turn them all in on time. It’s the freaking summer. We’re going to procrastinate, we’re going to turn them in late. We’re not going to give a shit.

AndrAIa’s been acting up a bit as of late. I can’t run installshield installation programs anymore. At least, not on my user. I can do so just fine from the administrator account. o_O Things seem a bit slower overall, and blackbox hangs on shutdown. As far as I can tell, however, this only happens when I play FFXI on my computer. After I force-close blackbox, I have to force-close PlayOnline (after I already closed it before hand). This abnormal behavior of POL and FFXI can be attributed to the windower I use. FFXI doesn’t natively allow one to play in windowed mode, so I downloaded a program (recommended by Tim) that allows me to play with FFXI in a window so I can still chat on AIM or look stuff up. Funny thing is, the windower causes no problems on Brian’s machine. o_O

I think I may have to wipe AndrAIa clean… I’m not looking forward to that… All the backup… At least I have another partition to put things on AND my external harddrive (which still has >50% disk space free). I’ve been kinda worried about her lately, though. You know how during the summer, temperatures rise? Well, it’s not uncommon to see her running at 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Infact, the only time I’ve seen her running lower is when I had the air conditioning on in our room piping cool air into the office when it was already somewhat cool out. Mom said to turn off the air conditioner, though, as it was apparently “too cold” outside for it to be running. I saw AndrAIa’s temperature readout shoot from 108 to 120.:cry:

I’ve been getting about one shift a week at work. Last summer I was averaging two or three shifts a week. But now, all the shifts are g oing to the newbies (understandable, i guess) as well as the rehires. People are getting rehired at their old wage, in their old position, and getting MORE HOURS than I’m getting! WTF ::kicks a wall::

Oh. I’m going on vacation tomorrow. Mackinac Island. Going with Dad, Pia, Brian, David, and Ali (how DO you spell her name?). A week. Away from home. Usually I look forward to vacations… But right now… not so much… I dunno why. There’s nothing really.. going on around here. Heh, unlike last time we went up north. The whole Jason-Heather thing… Whoo, glad that’s over with.

Anyway..

I wanna get back on FFXI to see if there are any parties willing to accept a lvl 29WAR/MNK in lvl 17WAR gear for just one more level, but I feel as if my endeavor would just be in vain.

I’ve started playing Final Fantasy 2 on the GBA compilation Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls and it’s pretty cool. I wanna bring the PS2 up with us so I can play Final Fantasy 4, but I seem to have left ALL PS2 discs at Mom’s. (FFXI doesn’t require any discs, harddrive for the win). Oh well… Brian seems to recall them having a TV last time we were there… Maybe we could bring the PS2 to watch some DVDs or something. I dunno. I also wanna play Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but there’s only two saves on the cartdridge and they’re both taken by Brian and David. David just started playing the game again after I kept bothering him about not playing it… I doubt we’ll have time to hit up an EBGames or something on the way Up North. (And I seriously doubt any of the local ones will be open at 9AM, when we leave)

I’m don’t have a Final Fantasy fetish, I swear.

Shelby’s birthday party was last Saturday. It was pretty cool. I didn’t go swimming, though I brought all the required gear. Near the end of the night, most everyone partook in a game of Apples to Apples. It was quite fun. Basically a card is pulled from the green card stack and layed down in a place where everyone can see it. Then, everyone else (everyone but the person who layed the green card) looks at their hand of red cards and tries to find a card that most fits the description on the green card. The person who layed the green card then flips over all the red cards and chooses the one they agree with most. They then give the green card to the person that layed the winning red card. Next person in line lays a green card. Rinse and repeat. To spice things up, there were cards that had people (people at the party) and descriptions or phrases that described them. Most were red, some were green. o_O

It seems I kept to myself most of the night until Catherine showed up. We mostly talked geek/nerd stuff <_<

Well, I’m out, gotta shower and pack for tomorrow…

So the LAN Party date has been finalized for the 25th of June, this Saturday. Starts at noon, ends at noon; like always. Hopefully there will be more gaming than just WoW! Ugh, you bastards and your WoW! I’m pretty sure there will be some Jedi Academy and quite a bit of Quake 3. I think there’s a restriction that Andrew set up: pretty much, there’s no WoW until 7PM or so. That gives everyone at least seven hours of non-WoW gaming. But then again, that still leaves seventeen hours for WoW! Oh well. I’ll be playing PSO quite a bit then. Gotta find that Stag Cutlery!

Last night was a little weird. I was talking to Jason and Shelby (last time I talked to her was the last day of Creative Writing, June 7th). I wasn’t… eh.. i dunno how to explain it, so I’m just gonna post an excerpt of my conversation with Jason. Note: often do we have.. interesting conversations, but often am I not as I am in this excerpt.

(02:29:55) satoshi: o_O
(02:30:48) Jason: i google-imaged for "idol" in japanese (aidoru), and one of the sites ended up being for a softcore mag, and the first thing i see is "J-Cup! GOGOGOGO!"
(02:31:03) satoshi: lmao
(02:31:08) satoshi: you sure it means cupsize?
(02:31:17) Jason: yes, i... investigated further
(02:32:20) satoshi: heh
(02:32:30) Jason: poor jappers... needing size adjustments like that to make them feel better

(02:39:59) Jason: it was about furry lesbians and had illustrations
(02:40:03) satoshi: lmao
(02:40:12) satoshi: As Caitlynn came, her huge breasts surged in an explosive rate of expansion as the copious flesh spilled out onto the mattress and pushed Kym into the air as she rose with the inflation. Kym kept on kneading the flesh as Caitlynn opened her eyes and smiled with a slightly glazed look of flushed pleasure to her face.
(02:40:29) satoshi: hahah!: Go, me lover! Go, go, GO! so I can be huge! Caitlynn silently begged Kym.

(02:40:51) satoshi: lol
(02:40:55) Jason: who needs sleep?
(02:40:58) satoshi: meh

The only other time I was really like.. this.. was when I had two bottles of Bawls at that one LAN Party. I wasn’t really hyper or anything, I was just WAY more talkative than I’ve ever been.

So right now I’m sitting in a chat room with Shelby and Catherine. That’s… about it. I’m not really in the mood to play anything right now… maybe later…

And… … hm… nope, not yet.

That is all for now.

you start thinking about your characters’ personalities and start coming up with pasts for them.. :???:

I’ve got two points of view on this whole thing:

  1. Hey, sweet, at least I’m writing something. Gotta get those creative juices flowing somehow.
  2. Oh shit! No! I’ll be writing fanfic! Ahh!!!@!!~shift+one

Fanfic is evil <_<
