(Just for those who don't know, Adobe Illustrator is a vector based graphics editing tool, where as Photoshop is rastor based.  Vector based = MUCH control, i.e. you can move vertices around to change the shape of images and parts of images in real-time.  Very nice) Well, I still have a lot to learn with Illustrator and I just didn't feel as if it could do what I wanted it to do just yet.  So I fired up Photoshop and started messing around...  Here's the outcome:

Which (of mine) do you like better?  The top or the bottom?  The top one, I feel, is closest to the actual logo...  It's just too bad that the font isn't slanted like the PD logo... (and I can't italicize the font either...)

Feedback is welcome (and, actually, expected).

I asked Brian for some feedback and he said the inner part of the text needed to be a bit lighter...  So I did the same cloud technique as before, but didn't do the difference clouds nearly as much.  I then applied some grain filter to it that gives it some texture:

It's actually slightly brighter in Photoshop for some reason, both the psd and the jpg.  Yet in Firefox, IE, and even Windows' Picture and Fax viewer, it's what you see here, a little dark.  Hm.

I've made an image!  Do you know how long it's been since I've actually made an image???  Quite some time, I can tell you that!  It's called Murky Waters, and I was just fooling around, I loaded up something that I had fooled around with who knows how long ago and just did some stuff to it.  Today in Web, we were using Macromedia Fireworks, and it reminded me of Photoshop and how I used to play around with it.  Well, here it is:
in background (1024x768) form
and regular image(640x480) form

It's a little on the simple side, but then again, some of the best things are simple.  It actually goes pretty well, in my opinion, with the Eclipse OS X theme that comes with StyleXP.

The LAN party last weekend was AWESOME.  I would soo love to do it again!  There were only about eight of us, but it was still fun.  We gotta do it again, but there should be more people too.  Well, um, yea, I'm somewhat tired but I don't want to go to bed...
