Wanna go to a LAN party?
Dioji and I were talking about having a LAN Party. But we're missing various things. Excuse me while I steal the list from his site..
What we need:
- People
- Space (large room, a basement would do)
- a router
- games (if only suggestions)
- Pepsi / Coke / whatever (bawls ::snicker::)
- fast Windows boxen
I might be able to provide a router, I could just hook my mom's computer directly to the cable modem, never hurt us before. But it only has 4 ports on it, so we'd still need a few more (depending on how many machines are gonna be there).
Between the two of us, I think we have a pretty nice amount of games:
Dioji:
- Quake (for you old-schoolers out there)
- Quake2 (awesome, awesome mods available)
- Quake3
- Warcraft 2
- Warcraft III (will it work without a CD?)
- Soldier of Fortune (2?)
- Half-Life (with Counter-Strike! Hey, Dioji, did you ever play it after we installed it on your birthday?)
- Heretic II
- Starcraft
Lemme know if you have more Dioji.
Me:
- Quake2
- Quake3 (sorta redundant, eh?)
- Tribes 2
- Heretic II
- Starcraft
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert
- Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun
My list isn't as big as Jason's... Though I might have more at my dad's house. We could also always download a few demos (Battlefield 1942 Secret Weapons of WWII anyone?)
Of course, you can always bring your own games that we don't have! And if the game does need a CD, I've got a nifty program, Daemon Tools, just gotta rip the CD once and then distribute the ISO across the LAN.
You know what LAN parties remind me of? Caffienated drinks. You know what caffienated drinks remind me of? Horrible Jokes.
