Winamp 5
Now, I'm not one to dislike software much, but I absolutely hated Winamp 3... It was... awful? It lacked old skin support, it was slower than 2.71 (which I LOVED, Best. Winamp. Ever.), and it just, all-around was.. different. Well, now there's Winamp 5. (where'd 4 go?) I heard a good review about it on the PSO World forums, so I decided to check it out. Well, I installed it over my Winamp 2.71 installation and ran it. First thing I notice, nothing. It looked exactly the same! It was even using my old Winamp 2.71 skin (which matches my WinXP skin perfectly, both are the OS X Panther Graphite skin). Awesome! So far, I'm liking it! So, I decided to try out the new "modern" skin that it comes with. It's interesting, and quite big, but it has everything in there. It now even has a radio and TV tuner built-in. Sweetness. I decided to see what was on TV =P I found three channels that interest me (amoung tens of porn channels..). One was showing Aqua Teen Hunger Force (AWESOME show! Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, check it out), the other has a Simpsons episode (Homer and Bart vs. Australia??), and the third was Mothy Python's Flying Circus. None of them will actually play though... Maybe I need a port open on the router? I dunno. I'll keep trying though.
If you didn't like Winamp 3, and are still using 2.71, I suggest trying out 5, it's much better that 3, and adds more features (while keeping the same look and feel, if you choose) to 2.71, it's great. I recommend it.
