The First Day of School (bum bum bum)…… was yesterday. The day seems to go by quicker than it did last year, which is always a good thing. I’d have to say that the longest class would be either Honors or Geometry. Speaking of Honors… Ruth isn’t in it. I saw her name on the list of who made it in last year, and I saw her at registration (so I know she didn’t move away), but she wasn’t in Honors! Ms. Macgillivary didn’t even call her name off. It was weird, she, of all people, practically HAS to be in that class. What was even weirder was that she was in my German class. All I could think was, and I quote, ‘!?’. She wasn’t there this morning either, but she was in German. Near the end of the class, I heard this ‘dropped Honors eng..’. It was Ruth’s voice. It must have interfered with one of her other classes (that’s why I don’t have AC Chem. Paul has AC Chem Lecture 8th hour. I have Web Page Dev 8th hour. German II is only in 5th hour, I THINK. And Honors is only in 1st hour.). We did a little review in German today. It was just sports and verb conjugations of machen (to make or to do), haben (to have), spielen (to play), and sein (to be). While naming sports (in german, of course), Ruth shouted out a lot of them… Some of them we didn’t even go over the year before! It’s like, WTF? Do you study during the summer!?

More tomorrow.

GunboundI recently found this game, after reading about it in a comic (VGcats). It’s a very fun game, sorta like pocket tanks, which is like an old game that I can’t remember the name of… but online! You can play with up to seven other people (4 vs 4), or as little as two (1 on 1). Here’s a good example of what it’s like when you start out: http://vgcats.com/vgc_comics/?strip_id=69

Get the game at http://www.gunbound.net or http://www.gunbound.com/eng

Schedule TimeOK, I seriously have NO IDEA why my schedule is pushed so far down the page. Blogger must not like the table tags. Oh well. I didn’t get AC Chem, probably because my math grades weren’t the best (all B’s and one A, besides, the class requires AC Geometry 9, i’m taking Geometry this year), but I don’t really care. So far, I only have one class with someone I know. Lunch first semester, with Paul. Um.. yea, that’s about all.. really..

fun stuffLast week was vacation week. I went Up North with my dad and brothers (kind of obvious, isn’t it?), and my aunt, uncle, and their 1 year old daughter. The week just flew by. We were back home in what seemed like no time. Which isn’t always bad…

School registration is on wednesday. School starts on the 27th. Damn this summer was quick… For some reason I feel almost as if I’m being given a fresh chance at.. something… with the upcoming school year. It’s kinda weird… That’s also what’s causing me to look forward to school… Not that I look forward to going to school… it’s just that it gives me something to do everyday.. Get up at a set time, eat at set times. Go to bed at a set time. I actually have a schedule during the school year… Not that that’s a good thing or anything… I dunno exactly why I feel this way, it’s hard to explain…

While Up North (yes, it’s capitalized, it’s a place), we stayed in a big cabin/cottage/ski house place type thing. It had six TVs. One, which was upstairs, was a a really nice flat screen (not LCD, but flat regular TV ’twas still big and bulky in the back) that was crystal clear. The other, which was in the basement (where we slept, me, my dad and my brothers) was a big HDTV. It was plain AWESOME! The only problem was that it stretched the picture that it recieved if you set it to 16:9 mode… and the stretching caused the picture to be kinda blury and what not, but it didn’t look to distorted because of the stretching. You could set it to 4:3 to see the picture as it was meant to be seen, though, but it kinda ruined the experience… We were allowed to bring the cube with us. So, naturally, I took advantage of the HDTV. While I didn’t have a special S-Video or component cable hook up for the GC, it was still awesome. I played PSO in widescreen (it just stretched it..), and it was so cool. But, when I got back home and played PSO on a normal tv, it looked squished… Now that I think about it, Metroid Prime or Perfect Dark (N64) would have been good games to play on that TV. They both have an option to set the game to 16:9, which squishes everything on a normal TV (it also allows you to see more, well, it does in perfect dark anyway), but when an HDTV stretches it, it looks normal. Although Perfect Dark would probably look pretty bad when it’s stretched (nothing looked good stretched, except Spy Kids on DVD and SSBM. Infact, Spy Kids was already in widescreen format, so it looked normal.) because the N64 didn’t have the best visuals… But it still would have been cool none-the-less. We got cable while we were there, but it was only about 9 channels or so. Which sucked. We got TechTV, but it was the exact same thing that we saw last year (or was it the year before that?) where it kept replaying the same episode of The ScreenSavers over and over. It was the broadband special episode(s)… I wanted to watch normal TechTV! That’s not so hard, is it!? We also got CNN. We saw the blackout on CNN. Pretty weird how it all just went out, in 9 seconds none-the-less… They also said that it could have spread across the whole US if some people hadn’t intervened… Scary. All I know is that we had power up north, and we didn’t have power at home. I also heard about the new MSBlaster worm while watching CNN. It sounds like an awesome worm, for once. It uses infected computers to attack Microsoft’s website. Now that’s one virus I actually wanna get.

School… dangit, why does it have to start up so early??

Well, I should get some sleep..

Please holdI’m not going to update for a while, I’d give a big explanation, but I don’t want to. No, i’m not trying to break any ‘record’ or anything (why the heck do you keep saying that paul?). I’m just busy. OK? Please, don’t nag me about it. Paul (countless times), Nate (10 times at most), Jason (once), Mom(once, but she brings up my journal at the most akward (sp?) times… dinner anyone?)

Good bye. I’ll update when I’m ready to. Don’t effing nag me anymore, you’ll only prolong my return.
