FAQ Project
Alright, I've got the layout for my FAQ project. I don't expect it to change too much, seeing as how it's only for English, it doesn't have to be too complicated. I actually like the color scheme, it's based on the custom color scheme I'm using for the WordPress admin interface.
Oh, ignore the questions/answers. I just pulled some questions out of my ass and grabbed the answers from even deeper within my ass... I obviously won't turn it in like that...

OK, so, last night, I hit 'save' on my (already late) vocab list for English. This is on Blackboard, mind you. I go in there to check it, just making sure it saved, and it's all good. I hit save again. Today, when I go on Blackboard during Lunch to finish the vocab, it says it was submitted!! All I had was the definitions, no examples! Ah!! I e-mailed Ms. Szmigiel about it, we'll see what happens. I got 25/50 though, not sure if that's because I was missing half of the assignment or because I was missing half of the assignment AND it was late...
Damn Blackboard... I will no longer save assignments on Blackboard so that I may work on them later. I will use TF in one of two ways: Either I upload the .doc to my site, or I create a draft post in WordPress.
Alright, Postage!
No, not the mail kind...
Yea, I haven't updated in about four days. No, I didn't die. I was just busy working and trying to finish my essay. Stupid essay. It was due on the 30th, I turned it in at about 1AM on the 2nd -_- Oh well, it's over with. At least we don't have to do an essay for the second novel. Speaking of which, the second novel is huge, and it'll be a bitch to read. At least I can take it Up North (yes, capitalized) with me so I can read it a bit more than I would have if we didn't go anywhere (no computers/TV/video games to distract me). That's about all for the school related stuff.
Work's been alright. Nothing special. I have an income, all's good. Oh! Speaking of turning in my essay, I'll be able to order the parts for my computer now! ::starts filling shopping cart on newegg.com with products::
Chiaki (Jason's mail-order-bride, er, exchange student from Japan) leaves later today at 12:30ish PM. I didn't even get to meet her. Oh well. After telling me that, Jason asked if I was available to do anything on Tuesday or Wednesday. Odd question (noone's asked that before), but ok. I need to get out of the house. And, seeing as how I work on Thursday, I should be available!
I should probably update about more, but I can't think of anything else to say.
A post about school, in the summer!?
Just what the hell am I thinking?
My mom ran out and got Captain Caution and Northwest Passage, both by Kenneth Robberts, so I might actually start my summer-work for Honors English. Northwest Passage is huge! When I first saw it, I though it was a pocket dictionary of sorts! But, damn! This book is big. Especially compared to CC. And, based on CC, NP will be just as boring, if not more so. I actually fell asleep within the first 20 pages of CC. I took that as a bad sign...
Step #1. Select your first novel before 6/18 and post your choice and the reasons for its selection on the discussion board. (10 points) - Status: Failed
I posted my choice (and reasons) on July 11th, nearly a month after the due date.
Step #2. When your have read approx. the first 1/2 of the novel. Go to the Discussion Board and post your responses to the questions. (50 points) Status: Pending
Step #3. Read the responses of your classmates and give them some thoughtful feedback. You must respond to at least 4 people. Once a person has more than four responses, you may still respond to them, but not for credit. (25 pts for each response that meets all criteria) - Status: Untouched
Steps # 2 & 3 are due by July 11 - Status: Failed, miserably
Step #4. When you finish reading the novel, select an essay topic from the posted list, write the essay and mail it to me or send it to me through the digital drop box.
Step # 4 is due by July 30, 2004 - Status: Questionable
Novel #2
Step #1. When selected, post your selection on the Discussion Board.
Step #2. Read the novel by August 15, 2004
Step #3. Post your response on the Discussion Board (50 points)
Step #4. Read and thoughtfully respond to two classmates. If someone has two responses posted, you may still respond to that person, but not for credit. (25 pts) - Status: Questionable; may be a little more possible if I select a different book for my second novel.
I don't understand how she expects everyone to meet these dates. People go on vacation, don't often have access to a computer, go outside, DO THINGS! I just wanted to enjoy part of my summer, not start the assignment a week before school even let out! (that was when I got the assignment) Yes, I'd have the honor of saying that I may have finished WAY ahead of time, but that'd be no fun! I should be able to relax the first month or so of my summer vacation, not spend my time on more school stuff... Bah, oh well. I shouldn't be complaining, I brought it all upon myself.
