Thoughts so far..

Well, I just changed the color scheme a little, via CSS of course.  It's a mixture of my most recent MT color scheme (the text/link colors) and my first blogger/MT color scheme (the #556677 background).  I also moved the calendar up a but on the side bar.  The main page is in PHP, and it's pretty interesting.  I'll have to take a look at it a little bit more to fully understand what's going on, but the calendar seems to be a function or something that's called by the PHP.  It's all very cool and makes for a small index.php.

The WordPress interface itself is very nice.  Easy to use and navigate, yet powerful enough to almost rival MT.  The template editor is neat because it only shows the index.php when you first load it, but you can tell it to edit other files.  ANY other file.  And a REALLY nice feature of WP is that it DOESN'T REBUILD.  That means that I can edit a file, via WP or another editor, and it'll update IMMEDIATLY.  As opposed to MT, where you edit the file, the rebuild the file(s).  It was really a pain in the ass to rebuild everything, 'cause if you had finally got your stylesheet exactly how you wanted it, and uploaded it via FTP, it would work.  But later on, when you edit a template file, and hit "Rebuild All Index Templates." it rewrites your stylesheet with the version MT knows about, not the one you uploaded recently.  Also: The WP interface can be messed with to your liking via CSS.  It's awesome, you can change how everything looks to match your website or mood.. or whatever!  The only problem I have with WordPress, right now, is that there's no support for multiple blogs.  But apparently that's being worked on in the next version, so that's all good.

All in all, I like WordPress, but I'd still like to wait a while before opening my site to the public again.  Still got some tweaking to do, etc.  Plus, I'd like to do something like Jason did with his Dude/Brat/Beauty sprites, but a little different.  OK, perhaps a lot different, but i just needed something to compare it to.

OK, well, I'm out.  Just installed FFXI on Friskit (david's computer, gotta get used to calling them by their names now.  The computer Brian and I share is called Enzo, David's is Friskit, and mine'll be AndrAIa) to see how well it'll run.  I'll probably have to set the settings as low as they go and work my way up from there.  Much different than how I did it on Enzo, I went quite high, what I though the system could handle, and just tweaked it a little from there.
